Step 1 Open your image. I will be using the one above, and you can too since this is just practice. Duplicate the base layer and set it to Screen, 50%. view.

Step 2 Copy and paste this texture and set it to Lighten. view. If you use another texture, make sure it has red/orange and yellow in it. It will be important later.

Step 3 Create a new layer. Fill it with #220000 and set the layer to Exclusion. view.

Step 4 In order to pull the image "together" I'm going to use a Selective Color layer. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. When the window pops up, click OK and input the following settings: (when you are done it should look like this)

Step 5 I am going to add text to the image. You do not have to, of course, and if you do decide to add text accents, you may place them where ever in whatever font. I used white Times New Roman and placed it inside the sofa. I used French because it's pretty.
