First Impression

I like the image of the layout! It's very unique, and I like the vintage feel.

However, the background image is awful. It repeats badly and half of it is sharp, half is blurry. I don't like how the nav links go from size 20 to size 8 when you hover over them.

Navigation

The navigation links are quite large and off to the site of the image. However, when you click a link, the pages have no navigation links, just a small "back" link underneath the image header.

Header

The header is nice; I must say, it does grab the attention. Of course on closer inspection one notices how pixely it is, and how some parts are blurry. The site's name can be seen on the header, as well as the definition of "chirocracy."

Coding

When looking at the coding, I notice there are no html, head, OR body tags, and instead of style type="text/css", it just says style. I would suggest fixing this.
The coding appearance of this site is a bit odd. The content is in a grey table that doesn't match any grey in the image. The colors in the coding don't match the header at all. I'm not sure what she was thinking when she coded this.

Summary

This site is a nice start. I love the originality of the layout image, and there is a nice collection of scans. However, I'd wait until there is a bit more high quality content on the site before paying a visit.

Sugesstions

  • I'm not sure why your layout images are so grainy/blurry. Save them at a high quality?
  • Same with your photos. Some are so grainy!
  • Make your coding match your headers.
  • Have naviagtion on each page.
  • Don't offer brushes that are so pixely.
